Victoria Station London

Victoria Station London

Exploring Great Britain would really be wonderful if you travel by train. British trains are well-maintained, clean and comfortable for both long and short trips. Traveling by train will allow you to lean back and enjoy the scenery. One of the train stations in London is Victoria Station. This is the second busiest rail station these days. Every year, there are more than 115 million tourists who pass through Victoria Station London which is double the number of travelers that Heathrow Airport deals with. You are going to leave from here if you are going to destinations in Sussex, Surry or Kent. In addition, from this station, you can get into Gatwick Airport Express.

There were a couple of separate stations when this station first opened. But in 1924, these two stations were joined when the wall dividing them was removed. In 1980s, the station hosts a lot of travelers because of the Victoria shopping center. This becomes an additional welcome providing travelers with more than twenty restaurants and boutiques including a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and a sushi bar. Victoria Station shops consist of W.H. Smith, Tie rack, Boots, and other famous retailers. On the lower level of both terminals there is a tube station or a subway and a taxi rank in front. This only means that you can unite to almost any region in London from Victoria Station.

If you will fly into Gatwick then you can take the Express going to Victoria station and take the tube or a taxi going to your final destination. The station is so big and it is an excellent suggestion to arrive at least twenty or thirty minutes before the train leaves. You will have enough time to buy something to drink or eat before finding the site of your platform. Bear in mind that trains run on time so give yourself sufficient time before leaving.
